2G-Namd Flex Force
2G-Namd Flex Force is a highly elastic graphite material that allows the frame to flex and snap back quickly during impact. It is designed to support ball pocketing and spin potential while retaining a responsive feel.
The Yonex VCORE 98L in Ruby Red is for players who enjoy the focused response of a 98-square-inch head but want a racquet that moves more readily through preparation. At a nominal 285 g, it is substantially lighter than the VCORE 98 TOUR, while a 325 mm balance preserves meaningful head presence. It is well suited to progressing and accomplished recreational players who generate spin with their own technique.
Focused contact without the TOUR weight
The smaller head asks for sound positioning and a reliable contact point. Its 16/19 pattern rewards players who accelerate into topspin, and the lower overall mass can help when reacting quickly or changing directions. That advantage should not be confused with the inherent stability of a much heavier frame when returning a powerful shot.
ISOMETRIC geometry, the reworked upper hoop and the grommet system support the eighth-generation VCORE spin concept. The construction also brings together 2G-Namd Flex Force, Servo Filter and VDM. Technologies
Aero Trench
A recessed upper-grommet channel is shaped to reduce aerodynamic drag. Within VCORE it is designed to help accelerate the racquet head and support spin, without guaranteeing a specific result for every player.
ISOMETRIC
Yonex ISOMETRIC uses a more squared-off head geometry that optimizes main and cross string intersections. Yonex reports an approximately 7% larger sweet spot than a comparable conventional round head, supporting a more forgiving response when contact is off centre.
LINER TECH
LINER TECH uses straighter string-entry holes so the main strings can move more freely on impact. The design supports ball pocketing and a more forgiving stringbed response, including on off-centre hits.
Servo Filter
SERVO FILTER is an elastic film integrated between graphite layers in the frame. It is designed to reduce unwanted vibrations while preserving useful feedback to the hand for a more precise impact feel.
VDM
VDM (Vibration Dampening Mesh) is a flexible mesh wrapped around the graphite inside the grip. It filters unwanted impact vibrations to provide a smoother, more comfortable feel in the hand.
