The Yonex VCORE 100 in Scarlet carries the energetic look of the seventh-generation range and suits players who like to press from the baseline with heavy, shaped shots. Its nominal 300 g frame and 100-square-inch head occupy a versatile category: substantial enough for purposeful rallying yet more accommodating than a smaller competition head. It makes sense for developing and experienced recreational players with a reasonably complete swing.
Higher trajectory without abandoning direction
One of the design ideas behind the 2023 VCORE was to help the ball clear the net with margin before spin brings it down into the court. Yonex revised the upper hoop and used specialist grommets to encourage string movement. The 16/19 pattern gives players options between assertive topspin and a flatter ball when court position invites it.
2G-Namd Flex Force and VDM help define the frame response and feel at contact. Scarlet is the original colourway of this generation; Sand Beige arrived later as a visual alternative. Do not confuse it with Ruby Red 2026: the family resemblance is clear, but the generations and some engineering features are not identical.
