2G-Namd SPEED is a graphite composite with uniformly dispersed carbon nanotubes. It allows the frame to flex and snap back quickly, supporting ball speed while maintaining a comfortable response at impact.
The Yonex EZONE 100 in Blast Blue is built for players who like to take initiative from the baseline without needing a flawless strike on every ball. Its 100-square-inch head and 300 g nominal frame weight sit in a versatile middle ground: substantial enough for purposeful rallying, yet more accommodating than a demanding, smaller-headed competition frame. Accessible power with a connected response
Yonex reshaped its ISOMETRIC head geometry for the eighth-generation EZONE to create a more generous effective hitting area. That matters when the rally speeds up and contact is not always perfectly centred. The 16/19 string pattern leaves room to shape the ball, while the frame design aims to help players create depth without forcing every swing.
Inside the construction, 2G-Namd SPEED supports responsive energy transfer. MINOLON in the shaft and VDM around the graphite in the handle address unwanted vibration in different parts of the racquet. Together they express the EZONE idea: lively performance with a smoother feel at impact. This is an adaptable all-court option rather than a racquet built around one spectacular shot.
Technologies
AERO SHAPE
AERO SHAPE is a frame-profile design that combines carefully selected beam shapes and thicknesses to balance power, flexibility and ball feel. The geometry is intended to support a responsive impact sensation.
ISOMETRIC
Yonex ISOMETRIC uses a more squared-off head geometry that optimizes main and cross string intersections. Yonex reports an approximately 7% larger sweet spot than a comparable conventional round head, supporting a more forgiving response when contact is off centre.
LINER TECH
LINER TECH uses straighter string-entry holes so the main strings can move more freely on impact. The design supports ball pocketing and a more forgiving stringbed response, including on off-centre hits.
MINOLON
MINOLON uses ultra-fine natural fibres derived from minomushi bagworm silk. In eighth-generation EZONE frames, it is placed between graphite layers around the shaft to reduce unwanted impact vibration and provide a softer feel.
O.P.S. (Oval Pressed Shaft)
O.P.S. (Oval Pressed Shaft) uses rounder shaft corners to encourage controlled flex during impact. The design helps extend the ball-pocketing sensation and supports placement and control.
VDM
VDM (Vibration Dampening Mesh) is a flexible mesh wrapped around the graphite inside the grip. It filters unwanted impact vibrations to provide a smoother, more comfortable feel in the hand.
